Hell’s Summer Check

By KlimaNachrichten

We have almost 1/3 of the meteorological summer around. Time to remember the prognosis of the criminal biologist Marc Benecke from the spring of 2024. He had predicted “a hellish summer and with almost complete certainty“.

We reported. As early as March 2024, some meteorologists expressed concerns about this forecast.

Shortly after Benecke gave his lecture, Kachelmannwetter created an explanatory video explaining which weather conditions are needed for a warm or even hot summer. This happens very calmly and in the video they are correspondingly cautious with forecasts.

However, it is well explained there that summers in our latitudes have been getting warmer for years.

Germany is indeed facing a warm week, but it could end again by the weekend if a cold front from the northwest prevails.

How the months of July and August will turn out cannot be reliably predicted. According to Wetterkontor, June 2024 has so far been slightly too cold in Germany compared to the statistical average.
