Politician Steffen Kotre appears to be among the first German officials to realize that his country has gotten the shaft since the start of the Ukraine War by having to purchase more expensive, dirtier energy from the United States than what they were getting before from Russia.

Kotre recently called for the reversal of that policy and for Germany to once again take advantage of Russian natural gas flowing through the Nord Stream 2 pipeline.
