Rick Whitbeck: Alaska represents classic environmentalism

From  CFACT

By Gabriella Hoffman

“I would be a classic environmentalist. You would be a classic environmentalist. It was somebody who understood the balance between nature and the developed world. It was somebody who was always looking out for nature in balance with the world now that we’re that that word has been co-opted by the left to be somebody who thinks of nature above all else. And that’s been a very deliberate, very slow moving very, yet very aggressive, at the same time, move to turn environmentalism. You [going] into a war on development wasn’t always that way. Right? I am an environmentalist, a classic environmentalist — you are? Do you care about nature? I care about nature. I don’t want my Alaska or my United States or, you know, my town here in Anchorage, to be harmed because of bad public policy. Yeah. When it comes to the current environmentalists, they’re doing exactly that. They’re hurting jobs. They’re hurting communities. They’re hurting the name of classic environmentalism. And, you know, really, they’re doing more harm to America. And here in my great State of Alaska, they’re doing more harm to the 750,000 of us than has ever been done to, to help us. It’s absolutely abhorrent.” — Rick Whitbeck of Power the Future
