Sky News host Cory Bernardi says the new “energy scam artists” are no longer those with perpetual motion machines but those who are advocating for renewable energy.

“We are constantly told they generate power for free and will save the planet from carbon dioxide, fossil fuels, and global warming, unfortunately the truth is far from that,” he said.

Mr Bernardi also said there is a “dark side” to clean energy which is often ignored as the renewables are made from material which does not biodegrade.

“This is the dark side of clean energy, it’s that their production and disposal creates more pollutants the fossil fuels they are designed to replace.”
