Marc Morano: This is actually in line with what the French government has been imposing on French citizens. First of all, this poll actually shows that the younger you are, the more you believe this. Almost 60% of kids 18 to 24 — I shouldn’t say kids — of adults 18 to 24 — shows you where those student loans are going that’s your payoff there — believe that there should be a four-flight lifetime limit. So, the younger you are, the more committed you are.

So this is what the French public has been getting indoctrinated in, that flying is evil. They believe we’re in a climate emergency. But it goes way beyond that now because there are other countries, Austria, & Germany, looking at three-hour flight bans, three hours or less. The EU is looking at flight bans for when you take instead take a train ride that takes under six hours.

Ah there. It’s already in motion. I was just talking to Pete we talked so much on the show about you know CRT and gender indoctrination. There is no indoctrination more severe than climate. Correct, Marc?

Morano:  Yes, this starts from kindergarten and goes all the way through college. And you have the whole Youth Climate movement. We have kids now in elementary school, with NASA scientists co-signing with universities with environmental groups suing the European governments, the United States government, because, essentially, our country hasn’t gone full Marxists enough to ensure they have a livable climate.

So you have young kids claiming that a flood in their hometown means that fossil fuels cause bad weather. Therefore, they want to sue energy companies, they want to sue governments and we saw this in Montana. They want to sue governments to ensure that they have a healthy climate, which essentially means top-down control of every aspect of your life.

And think about that again: four flights per life. Joey Jones: Marc Morano, listen, the French, they have the nuclear power. Why are they worried about emissions? They’re one of the best in the world of nuclear power.

Morano: It’s not just in France, you think they know better, but Europe in general is much more indoctrinated on climate than the U.S.. England’s trying to get out of Net Zero — taking baby steps — and the Prime Minister is being attacked. Europe is so beholden to this climate agenda, which is basically the end of freedom and the end of modern life.

They’re always looking for reasons why the rest of us can’t be free. Now they’re going after rice production. Excerpt: I was fortunate enough to be invited as the keynote speaker to their annual event in Rapid city last month by their CEO Bill Bullard. I had an amazing time meeting so many amazing American ranchers and I wanted to share the speech I gave there with you.

‘‘For those of you who don’t know my home country, The Netherlands is a tiny country in North-West Europe and when I say tiny, I mean tiny.

For reference, the state of South Dakota alone is 5x the size of my entire country.

We might be small in size, but we’re big at one thing. And that’s farming.

Farming is the backbone, not just of our economy, but of our nation’s history, identity and culture.

The foundations of modern agriculture in the Netherlands were laid in the early 1500 and oftentimes farmers who are alive today come from families whose farming history dates back hundreds of years.

As a result of this, we are now amongst the world’s most lucrative, productive and technologically advanced farmers in the world.

In fact, after you guys here in America, we are the second largest exporter of agricultural products in the entire world and the largest exporter of beef in the European Union.

It’s not an overstatement to say that we together, The United States of America and The Netherlands, feed the world.

For now. Because Unfortunately the most powerful people in the world, want to stop us.

So let me tell you a real life cautionary tale. Let me tell you about what exactly has been going on with the Dutch farmers and what prompted them to go out and protest.

In 2019, a group of environmental activists sued the Dutch government, claiming that Dutch natural reserves were under threat because of a so-called ‘nitrogen crisis’  and that the Dutch government violated Dutch law and European regulations by failing to sufficiently protect nature.

The Dutch court agreed with the environmental activists and so it began: The Netherlands officially entered the so-called ‘’nitrogen crisis’.

Not big corporations, not the airline industries…

No. Both the EU and the Dutch government agree that cow burps are deemed the biggest driver of climate change.

And after the 2019 ruling, things escalated quickly. 

Last year, the Dutch government decided that 30% of all livestock needs to be cut by 2030 in order to meet the climate goals.

And then the government decided that would mean at least 3000 farms needed to be shut down in the next few years.

If farmers refuse to sell their land to the state ‘’voluntarily’’ to the state now, they run the risk of being expropriated later.

Yes, you heard that right. Expropriated. Your property rights will simply be taken away from you.

What I really want to get across here ladies and gentlemen, is that I of course could get into all the nitty gritty details of what the nitrogen crisis exactly entails according to the government, but that would be a mistake. 

Our government doesn’t give a rat’s ass – excuse my French –  about ‘’Dutch nature’’.

There is no nitrogen crisis.

It is all one big lie. It’s a pretext

And debating them within the parameters that they’ve set out for us, is not a winning strategy.

We are not dealing with people who are acting in good faith. 

Nobody who’s acting in good faith would come after one of the most hard working, respectable and lucrative sectors of our society.

Especially not when that sector puts food on our plates. Especially not in a time when we’re already dealing with food shortages all over the world.

So the question remains, why are they doing this?

The answer is: the attack on farming is part of a bigger agenda of total control and we in The Netherlands are simply the pilot country. We are the tester case.

The reality of the matter is that the Dutch state is committing a land grab. And the climate/netzero is being used as a pretext.

It’s the typical globalist strategy: under the guise of morally just sounding sentences like “we have to save the climate”, a hidden totalitarian agenda is being rolled out.

So what’s behind all of this?

First, in the Dutch case, actual state documents have shown that the Dutch government needs the land to build new houses for migrants.

Like I said, we are a tiny country, but we are bursting at the seams in terms of population density.

Due to mass migration from Africa and the Middle East, we are now nearing 18 million inhabitants this year.

But since half of all the land in The Netherlands is owned by farmers and the state simply doesn’t have space to build new houses for all of the migrants that they’re importing, they need a solution.

And the solution they have come up with is: stealing other people’s land. 

Let me get to the 2nd and most important reason why a war is being waged against our farmers?

Remember how I said the government wants to cut down livestock by 30% before 2030? 

The specific mention of 2030 is not a coincidence. It’s because that is the deadline that the global elites have given them to implement a new agenda.

And that agenda is called the 2030 Agenda.

So what is it exactly?

The 2030 Agenda consists of 17 sustainable development goals, laid out by the United Nations. When we take a superficial look at these goals, they all seem very noble.

I mean… “no poverty” and “no hunger”, who could be against that?

However, if we take a closer look at these goals you’ll realise that they can never do this without forceful ‘’redistribution of goods, food and rights’’ aka: the obliteration of basic civil liberties and property rights.

And of course, they always try selling it to us under the guise of equality. It’s only fair if everybody has equal resources, they argue. Yet, nobody ever voted for any of this.

Reeks like communism doesn’t it?

Well, you’d be right to say that, because that’s exactly what it is.

It will simply mean that a very small group of  super rich elites gets richer and everyone else becomes equally poor and miserable.

And these goals are not restricted to the Netherlands – they’re goals for the world as a whole.

And once again, we see the true motive here: establishing a world government. 

A new world order.

In which our global elites decide what we eat, when we eat, where we are allowed to travel, how we are allowed to travel, what we are allowed to own and who we are allowed to meet.

I’m sure you’ve heard of Klaus Schwab’s plans for the great reset and his statement that. “You’ll own nothing and you’ll be happy”. Well this is it. This is that agenda.

It is just absolutely crucial to know, that the first part of that sentence is the truth and the second part of that sentence is a lie.

The globalists are specifically targeting farmers, because they want our way of living and eating to change radically and they understand that they can’t do that without getting rid of you guys. 

You are some of the most independent, hard working and most importantly God fearing people on the planet. And those people are not easy to control.

On top of that, you produce foods that they don’t want us to eat. Animal fats and proteins from meat, eggs and milk, make us strong. 

Instead, they want us to eat synthetic meats created by Bill Gates, they want us to eat bugs and drink soy milk that will make us weak and obedient, so we do what they say and buy what they offer.

And that brings me to the title of this presentation: those who control the food, control the people.

The communists knew this better than anyone. The first thing Stalin did was come after the farmers.

And the globalists of today are just copy pasting that strategy, but this time around they use pretty/virtuous words to hide their true intentions.

And you might be thinking, well that  may be true for The Netherlands, but here it won’t get that far.

Well ladies and gentlemen, that depends on whether people like you hold the line.

Because the agenda is global and it’s a matter of time before it arrives in the US too.

The globalists have money, time and power. 

If there is one thing you American farmers should know from our experience in the Netherlands, it is that the globalists are waging a war of attrition.

They start with hitting you with new rules and regulations forcing you to adapt your business.

Then they hit you with expensive legal procedures. In the meantime, they mobilize the media to vilify you as one of the main drivers of climate change, by using “science” and bribing ‘’experts who will point the finger at you. 

And I know that this is already happening here in the US too. I know Bill Gates is trying to buy up Farmland, I know here in South Dakota obscure foreign funded companies like ‘’Summit Carbon Solutions’’ are trying to crack down on your property rights, I know John Kerry has launched a government attack on the agricultural sector.

Let’s hear it from the horse’s mouth:

It’s simple math.

“Net zero” and the American beef industry cannot coexist. It’s one or the other.

Learn from the mistakes the Dutch farmers have made. Stay united, don’t let the media divide you. Fight.

The question farmers all around the world have to ask themselves is whether or not they will hold the line, or if they’ll sell out and damn their descendants for eating bugs.

And let me tell you, I have more hope for you American farmers than for any other group of farmers.

A deep love for liberty, God and your country runs through your veins.

And your Founding Fathers gave you the means to protect it.

In The Netherlands, we don’t have a second amendment. And even though the Dutch farmers have put up and continue to put up a brave fight, they’ve gone along with the government’s lies for way too long, they’ve allowed themselves to become divided and they have been forced to face the reality that we stand pretty defenseless in the face of a tyrannical the moment they point a gun at you. 

Because that has been our reality. The police have pointed guns at our farmers and have shot and nearly killed a 16 y/o farmer’s boy.

So let me end this speech with a message from the dutch farmers, one that I think you all should emulate.

The Elites Directing The Energy Transition Really Have No Idea What They Are Doing

We are on our way to Net Zero by 2050. It must be true because everybody says so. The entire $6+ trillion per year federal government is committed to the project, which obviously would not be the case if the whole thing were impossible. Equally fully committed are essentially all of the colleges and universities, where all of the smartest people are to be found. As well as every other elite institution of every kind and sort.

Take the World Economic Forum. If there is a number one elitest among all elite institutions, this has to be it. At their annual confab in Davos, Switzerland, they gather the greatest of geniuses to instruct the very top government and business leaders how to run the world. Would you like to go? It will cost you $52,000 to join the organization, and then an additional $19,000 to attend the conference. Chartering a private jet to get you there will cost a few more thousand. Once there, you can hear the very smartest people imparting their thoughts on the most important topics of the day, like “The Great Reset,” “Emerging Technologies,” “Diversity and Inclusions,” and, of course, “The Net Zero Transition.”

Is it possible that these people are completely incompetent and have no idea what they are doing?

A reader has sent me the very latest from the WEF on how the world is going to get to Net Zero. The piece has a date of September 5, 2023, and is titled “How battery energy storage can power us to Net Zero.” The authors are three people from the World Bank, with the lead author being one Amit Jain, who is the Bank’s Energy Storage Program Lead. This is the guy on the receiving end of tens of billions of dollars of government money to pass out to make the energy transition happen throughout the developing world.

Now, it so happens that energy storage is something I know a little about, and in particular about the problem of trying to store enough energy to make an electrical grid work without full dispatchable backup. See my energy storage Report, dated December 1, 2022, at this link.

So let’s take a look at Jain, et al.’s, take on how battery storage will “power us to Net Zero.” First, some excited happy talk:

Across the globe, power systems are experiencing a period of unprecedented change. Low-cost renewable electricity is spreading and there is a growing urgency to boost power system resilience and enhance digitalization. This requires stockpiling renewable energy on a massive scale, notably in developing countries, which makes energy storage fundamental. . . .

Making energy storage systems mainstream in the developing world will be a game changer. Deploying battery energy storage systems will provide more comprehensive access to electricity while enabling much greater use of renewable energy, ultimately helping the world meet its Net Zero decarbonization targets. International organizations and development institutions are leading the way forward to enable this decarbonization. . . .

So OK Amit, how much storage are we talking about here?

In 2022, approximately 192GW (gigawatts) of solar and 75GW of wind were installed globally. However, only 16GW/35GWh (gigawatts per hour) of new storage systems were deployed. A recent International Energy Agencyanalysis finds that although battery energy storage systems have seen strong growth in recent years, grid-scale storage capacity still needs to be scaled up to reach Net Zero Emissions by 2050. . . . To meet our Net Zero ambitions of 2050, annual additions of grid-scale battery energy storage globally must rise to an average of 80 GW annually between now and 2030.

Holy underwear, Batman! Could this guy really not even know what units he’s talking about? Thinking his readers might not understand the abbreviation “GWh” he helpfully defines it as “gigawatts per hour”! Could he really be this clueless? And he had two co-authors to check him!

And then there’s the statement that to meet the 2050 Net Zero ambition, annual deployments of grid-scale batteries “must rise to an average of 80 GW annually.” Of course he is using the wrong units (and undoubtedly does not know that). But let’s give him the benefit of the doubt, and assume that he is talking about the standard batteries available today, which are 4 hour batteries, meaning that 80 GW would provide 320 GWh of storage. If the world would add that much capacity every year from now to 2050, that would come to 8960 GWh of storage. How have Mr. Jain et al. come to the conclusion that this 8960 GWh of storage will be enough to “meet our Net Zero ambitions of 2050”? The piece contains no quantitative analysis or backup of any kind to support the proposition that this amount of storage would be sufficient.

My own energy storage Report does contain backup and calculations, although only for certain countries rather than for the whole world. For example, for the United States, the figures cited in my Report are that it would take some 233,000 GWh of battery storage to fully back up the electrical grid, assuming current levels and patterns of usage. Since the U.S. is about 4% of world population, we can multiply that figure by 25 to get the storage requirement for the world (assuming that the world electrifies to the U.S. level by 2050). The total would be 5,825,000 GWh. In other words, Jain, et al., are off by a factor of about 650, give or take maybe a few hundred.

But it’s OK, because Jain and his colleagues have no skin in this game. They just babble some happy talk to get their hands on a few hundred billions of money from rich governments, and pass it out to build impressive-looking battery projects that are actually next to useless to provide reliable grid electricity. They can be very confident that no one in their circles will ever check the math to see if the numbers add up. When 2050 rolls around and the whole thing doesn’t work, they will be long retired on generous pensions.

CFACT’s National Grassroots Coordinator Tom DeWeese traveled to Mathews County, Virginia to address local “sustainable” policies being debated and call on freedom activists to oppose them. Earlier, DeWeese had been invited to serve as a knowledgeable speaker at the hearing by one of the members of the planning board. But the Chairman opposed the invitation, citing reports about DeWeese by the far-Left Southern Poverty law Center (SPLC) of DeWeese being a conservative rabble rouser who delivers misinformation.

The public event on the 10th was co-sponsored by groups which included the Mathews County Republican Club and the MidPen Breakfast Club. Some 80 citizens attended – including several local officials on both the planning board and the County Board of Supervisors. Also in attendance was the planning board chairman, who had spoken out against his appearance.

DeWeese took full advantage of the situation, beginning his address by noting that many in attendance “Have been warned that I am a dangerous hate-monger and conspiracy theorist intent on spreading lies about local policies.” DeWeese pointed out that, “One of the main sources of these charges against me comes from the Southern Poverty Law Center, which has issued four separate reports on me…Yep, if I speak openly in opposition to policies supported by the SPLC then it’s hate speech advocating violence. I admit it’s “hate speech” of a sort because they hate it when I say it!

DeWeese went on to read from an article he had written in 1997, which he said caused the SPLC to target him. In the article, he wrote… “If you embrace the new world being created for you… then it’s your duty to also understand the consequences of your actions. You need to understand that in your brave new world you will be denied the option of self-defense or protecting your children. You will condemn the elderly and the infirm to do without air conditioning. You will not own a single-family home.

Transportation will not be readily available. Perhaps the opportunity to visit relatives on the other side of the country will be denied as airplanes become an environmental hazard.” DeWeese finished the quote by saying, “Every one of those things I warned about in 1997 is happening today.”

DeWeese went on the address the growing threats from the World Economic Forum’s “Great Reset” and discussed how Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) are bringing about these policies into local government through the use of federal grants.

DeWeese warned the audience to “Read the grants thoroughly before accepting them for local programs because many come with other agendas hidden in them, forcing compliance.”

Prior to the meeting, DeWeese had been warned that several members of the local government have already relied upon the American Planning Association (APA) as being a dependable resource for planning projects. So, in his presentation, DeWeese addressed the APA and its affiliation with the Planners Network and its Statement of Principles, which says, “We believed planning should be a tool for allocating resources…and eliminating the great inequalities of wealth and power in our society because the free market has proven incapable of doing this.” DeWeese pointed out that this principle matches the Great Reset and its attacks on free enterprise. During his remarks, DeWeese

noted, “the present-day crew of planners draws no line between public and private property, believing that land-use control should be vested in government and that public planners should have the sole right to control the use of all land.”

DeWeese finished by appealing to the audience to get involved at the grassroots level and demand that their local government make it a priority to protect private property rights above all else. “We must change the debate. Get on the offense. Don’t just defend freedom – make it the bottom line for every policy,” DeWeese concluded, “Protection of private property is the key to stopping ‘sustainable’ policies. No leftist sustainable development policy can be imposed without, in some fashion, destroying private property rights.

Great Reset U-Turn: Labour Party to Ditch National Car Emissions Tax Zones Scheme

Following steep public backlash and a disastrous by-election result attributed to anger over leftist London Mayor Sadiq Khan’s widely despised plan to expand the Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ) car tax scheme to all of London, the Labour Party has reportedly scrapped plans to campaign on bringing the Great Reset-style scheme to the rest of the country.

“That result in Uxbridge demonstrates there is never any reason to be complacent and never a reason to rest on our laurels. It is reminder that in an election, policy matters… We are doing something very wrong if policies put forward by the Labour Party end up on each and every Tory leaflet,” he said.

However, others are less convinced that the left-wing party will maintain such a position if they are given power by the people, with Conservative London Assembly Member Susan Hall, who will challenge Sadiq Khan in next year’s London mayoral election, saying: “Everyone knows Labour won’t stop with Sadiq Khan’s Ulez expansion, no matter what they say.”

The rapid policy pivots of politicians in the face of the Uxbridge by-election upset demonstrates the shallowness of the British political commitment to the green agenda. The moment green zealotry stops winning elections, they’ll drop it like a hot potato.

Of course, road user charges like ULEZ are only a small part of the total package of green pain the British are enduring. But the cause of most of this pain is not as obvious as being charged to drive your vehicle.

British friends I’ve talked to mostly don’t believe green policies are driving up their energy bills, they have accepted relentless BBC attempts to blame energy company greed for high prices.

This BBC propaganda has succeeded because it is partly true. Energy companies are greedy, on behalf of their shareholders – they are taking advantage of the enormous barriers to entry imposed by excessive British green tape. But energy company greed is not the root cause of Britain’s problems. The root cause is the green tape which has created a near market monopoly for existing players, by preventing effective development of new British energy resources, and is blocking entry by new competitors like fracking company Cuadrilla. This is the root cause of the British cost of living crisis.

There will be an awakening. The Uxbridge anti-ULEZ victory shows there is a limit to British patience. Sooner or later that patience will snap, people will take the trouble to see through the fog of misleading claims and work out what is really happening, and the politicians responsible for inflicting this distress on the British people will face a tsunami of voter dissatisfaction.

Climate activists have called on Biden since the earliest days of his presidency to declare a national emergency. … The president seemed close to declaring a climate emergency in the summer of 2022 after it appeared Sen. Joe Manchin, a West Virginia Democrat, had tanked the Inflation Reduction Act – Biden’s signature climate and health care bill. In a July 20, 2022, speech in Massachusetts, Biden strongly hinted that he could declare an emergency.

Politico: Biden says he has ‘practically’ declared a climate emergency. But he actually hasn’t…YET – ‘Would give him a host of new powers to combat climate change’– “We’ve already done that,” Biden said Wednesday when asked whether he was prepared to declare a national climate emergency during an interview on The Weather Channel. “We’ve conserved more land, we’ve moved into rejoining the Paris Climate Accord. We’ve got a $60 billion climate control facility.” When pressed about whether he has actually declared an emergency, Biden responded, “Practically speaking, yes.”

However, no such declaration has come from the White House. You can’t escape the orange. That’s what travelers this summer have been reckoning with — swaths of tangerine, traffic cone and burnt sienna on maps indicating record high temperatures around the globe. Four concurrent heat domes from the southern United States to East Asia descended on millions — Phoenix residents enduring 31 days of 110-degree-plus temperatures. Italians in more than a dozen cities under extreme weather warnings. And in South Korea, at least 125 people were hospitalized for heat-related conditions at the World Scout Jamboree.

As the summer travel engine kicked into high gear this year, it wasn’t just the scorching heat affecting carefully laid plans. There were also fires, floods, tornadoes and hail storms. Eight inches of rainfall left parts of Vermont coping with catastrophic floods. Tens of thousands of people, including thousands of tourists, had to evacuate islands in Greece because of wildfires. (Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis on Wednesday offered a free weeklong stay in 2024 to those travelers affected — in spring or fall.) The popular music festival Awakenings canceled a date in the Netherlands because of concern over hail, lightning and thunderstorms.

Increasingly dangerous weather now hits classic summer destinations, with conditions growing more erratic, expensive and deadly. According to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, the United States has experienced four climate disasters since May, each causing over a billion dollars in damages. The National Park Service estimates that more visitors have died of heat-related causes since June than do in an average year. The indirect toll is almost certainly higher: A recent study found that summer heat waves killed 61,000 people in Europe last year.

But even if the idea of a summer getaway remains culturally resilient, is it still practical? Where to go is certainly less obvious — you can’t hide from reality when reality is 100-degree seawater, or a raging wildfire.

For decades, science has confirmed that unabated climate change will cause more misery, more hardship and cost millions of lives in the years to come. We’re getting a taste of the results this summer. Our relationship to travel has reached a tipping point. What happens when we can’t just vacation through it?

Strong demand, migrating patterns

Despite all the crises, global arrivals — the total number of tourists who cross a border — are projected to be up 30 percent from last year, according to the EconomistIntelligence Unit, a research division of the media company. The World Tourism Organization reports that travel to Europe is now at 90 percent of prepandemic levels.

And tourism is big business. The sector’s growth outperformed global gross domestic product growth by more than 40 percent in 2019, according to the World Travel & Tourism Council. That same year it employed 333 million people worldwide — equivalent to one in 10 jobs — and accounted for more than 10 percent of the global economy.

In the absence of national or unified support, planning may fall to corporations with pockets deep enough to marshal resources at scale. “Disney is sort of a poster child for a really good way to handle large numbers of people effectively,” said Daniel Scott, a professor of geography and environmental management at the University of Waterloo, in Canada. He suggested that the business model of globalized tourism may start to mimic the integrated resorts typified by Disney, where a single entity owns the infrastructure and controls visitor experiences with greater predictability.

It’s impossible to know where we go from here. But the cognitive dissonance of summer travel in a warming world is catching up to us. Tragic headlines and statistics are prompting hard looks at the nature of tourism: who benefits and who gets to participate. More people will find themselves confronting personal and increasingly tough decisions — and, like Ms. Barber, perhaps choosing a less appealing but more comfortable option: “We just all stayed home and huddled in a room with the air-conditioner on,” she said.
