Nationals Senator Matt Canavan says renewable energy “is a bit like the dole bludgers in our workforce” as “they only turn up to work when they want to”.
“And we need a power system that’s there all the time,” Mr. Canavan told Sky News host Andrew Bolt.
“Especially if we want to keep our manufacturing industry and it’s just so sad to see a state like Victoria which has been the heartland of our industry.
“Our heritage as a country has lived off the back of development of manufacturing in Victoria and now it’s just in a ruined state thanks to the policies of the Labor Party and especially Dan Andrews.”
