Sky News host Cory Bernardi says US Climate Envoy John Kerry is a “hypocritical green evangelist”.

Mr Bernardi said for Mr Kerry a “little bit of slavery” is a “small price to pay for green dreams”.

It comes after a recent report outlined forced labour in China’s Xinjiang province has been utilised in the production of solar panels.

“Should we empower the slavery and genocide business in a quest to go green or do we tell China where to stick it’s solar panels they make, by the way, using coal-fired electricity and forced labour?” Mr Bernardi said.

“Well some things that are too important to compromise on so I’m suggesting we ban the import of solar panels made in China”.
