Extreme avalanche danger in Russia
There is a long weekend of vacations ahead and for sure many are planning to go to ski resorts.
We warn you – the danger of avalanche is now extreme across the country!
In Sakhalin, it is planned in 9 regions, according to the regional avalanche center of Sakhalin UGMS:
in Uglegorsky, Makarovsky, Tomarinsky, Kholmsky, Dolinsky, Anivsky, Nevelsky, Korsakovsky and in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk itself.

This means that there are many skiers and, among them, many freeride fans – that is, off-piste skiing. Often, they are the ones who “cut” the avalanches.
Well, the most dangerous situation is now in the Caucasus.
In the mountains of the Krasnodar Territory and Adygea, the danger of an avalanche exceeds 2500 m.!
In the mountains of Karachay-Cherkessia, Kabardino-Balkaria, North Ossetia and Dagestan, this mark is lowest – at 1500 m.
The fact is that the descent of the mass of snow accumulated from the slope is usually caused by climatic reasons: a sudden change in weather (including changes in atmospheric pressure, air humidity), rain, heavy snowfalls.
And that is the weather, according to our predictions, next weekend in the North Caucasus.
