COVID-19 “emergency use” vaccines have been available in the US since mid-December. An online database, associated with the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), has been accumulating reports of people who died after receiving these vaccines.
In most cases, it’s near impossible to prove a direct connection between these vaccines and these deaths. Nevertheless, this database exists for a reason. It’s an early warning system. And, according to information submitted so far, it now seems plausible these vaccines are triggering fatal reactions in a small minority of people.
I recently described the unexpected deaths of Americans younger than 65 who’d received one or more doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna vaccines. Below is a selection of reports involving people 65 and over. Some appear startlingly similar to each other, which suggests identifiable patterns may be emerging:
Some deaths occurred almost immediately:
Minutes after a 78-year-old California woman received her first Pfizer vaccine, she became dizzy, her eyes “rolled back in her head and she lost consciousness.” She received CPR, and an ambulance was called, but extensive efforts to revive her were unsuccessful.
Twenty minutes after receiving her second Pfizer vaccination, an obese 66-year-old New York state woman was “found pulseless and breathless.” Her reported cause of death was cardiac arrest.
Twenty-two minutes after being injected with her first dose of the Moderna vaccine, a 69-year-old Florida woman “had a massive anaphylactic reaction. She experienced shortness of breath…and loss of consciousness. She was taken to the emergency room. The patient had a brain aneurysm and never recovered.”
In New York state, a 73-year-old man “collapsed while exiting the building” after receiving his first Pfizer dose at 10:20 am. CPR was administered, and an ambulance was called. An hour later, he’d been pronounced dead in a hospital Emergency Department.
A 73-year-old man went to an arthritis medical appointment on February 1st. He later received a dose of Pfizer vaccine, and was “seen on surveillance camera walking to parking garage” shortly after 11 am. Police found him dead in that same parking garage, his vehicle still running.
Some deaths occurred within a few hours:
An 84-year-old Texas woman with dementia, living in a seniors care facility, reportedly felt well prior to receiving her first Pfizer dose. Two hours later, she was dead.
In California, a 74-year-old man with heart problems received his first Pfizer dose in a seniors care facility. He was found dead in his room four hours later.
An 85-year-old Kentucky woman living in a seniors facility received her first Pfizer vaccine at 5 pm. She was found unresponsive at 6:45, and an ambulance was called. She went into cardiac arrest, was taken to hospital, and died around 8 pm.
The husband of a 69-year-old Pennsylvania woman says she collapsed three hours after receiving her first Moderna vaccine. “She was pronounced dead upon arrival to hospital,” due to a “burst abdominal aneurysm.”
A 76-year-old Mississippi woman reacted fine to her first Moderna dose. She received her second around around 9 am, collapsed a few hours later, and died in hospital of cardiac arrest shortly after 3 that afternoon.
A 65-year-old kidney dialysis patient in California received his first Moderna dose shortly before noon. He later went for an afternoon nap, after which his wife found him “cold and unresponsive.” He was officially pronounced dead in a hospital at 7:40 pm.
A 70-year-old Colorado man in poor health received his first dose of the Moderna vaccine on February 6th. Around 6:30 that evening, he collapsed. Paramedics found him to be “in cardiac arrest…resuscitation was unsuccessful.”
Some deaths occurred within a day or two:
A 74-year-old Michigan man who developed fever, chills, and weakness after receiving his second Pfizer dose, died the next day.
A 69-year-old Florida woman felt muscle pain the day after her second Pfizer shot, but “went about her day…spoke to people and also went for a walk.” Shortly before 6 pm, her husband found her dead in the bathtub.
An 85-year-old Indiana man healthy enough to be living on his own, received his first Moderna shot around 4:30 in the afternoon. He told relatives who had dinner with him he didn’t feel well, but declined to go to the Emergency Department. The next morning they found him deceased in his bedroom.
A 71-year-old woman in Massachusetts, who’d reported headache and arm pain after receiving her second Pfizer shot, was found dead in her home two days later.
A 68-year-old doctor in Mississippi received his first Moderna shot on January 13th. He apparently felt fine that day and the next, but died at home early in the morning of January 15th.
A 65-year-old Indiana man with heart problems developed nausea, chills, and shortness of breath after receiving his first dose of vaccine. The next morning he lost consciousness and died at home.
A 65-year-old Florida woman residing in a seniors care facility after suffering a stroke, was described as having “No acute illness at time of vaccination.” Less than 48 hours after receiving her first dose of the Pfizer vaccine, she was “found unresponsive, without pulse.” Attempts to revive her failed.
A 68-year-old developmentally challenged man in Kansas received his first Moderna vaccine on January 7th. The next morning, he fell. Shortly afterward, staff at his care facility observed him “sitting a table with his head tilted forward and unresponsive.” They administered CPR, and called an ambulance, but he was “pronounced dead at the scene.”
Some deaths occurred somewhat later:
Five days before Christmas, and four days after a 74-year-old Michigan man received his first Pfizer dose, his wife awoke to find him dead in bed.
A 79-year-old Ohio woman was described as “feeling well” prior to receiving her first dose of the Pfizer vaccine. We’re told her “health conditions were well controlled.” Nevertheless, she went into sudden cardiac arrest four days later and died.
A 66-year-old Georgia woman, “in good condition for her age,” collapsed eight days after receiving her first Moderna shot. She “could not be revived. There was no prior warning…The death was listed as probable cardiac arrest.”
A 74-year-old California man who worked part-time at a pet store received his first Moderna shot on January 30th. On February 7th, he told his wife he was feeling pain in his left armpit. He went to work at 4 am the next morning, and was later found dead.
Life is messy and unpredictable. For some highly frail seniors, COVID vaccines may be the straw that breaks the camel’s back. These injections may be subjecting already weary bodies to one stress too many. Rather than saving the lives of these seniors, vaccines may be hastening their demise.
Equally heartbreaking are instances involving high-functioning seniors – active, health-conscious people who appeared to have had years of life ahead of them. A surviving daughter tells us her healthy 85-year-old Pennsylvania woman received her first dose of Moderna vaccine on January 21st.
A few days later, she began “reporting profound fatigue and shortness of breath while conducting routine household activities. She no longer had energy for her daily exercise walks and became increasingly lethargic. She died…while taking an afternoon nap on Thursday, February 4th.”
